After a series of bowel operations, one surgeon decided to give an enema. From this moment on I suffered with the most excruciating gut pain. There then follwed a series of tests and exploratory ops to try and find out what this pain was all about, even to the point of removing my then cyst covered ovaries. But the pain carried on. I reguarly suffered these pains which often kept me awake at night. My GP (a lovely person)supported me and helped me narrow down to what eventually we belived was IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndome)and I don't care what the 'Professionals' say it started the day I had an enema!
